Half Day Wednesday After School Program
We've reached the end of the 2023/24 York City School District's early dismissal Wednesdays. We look forward to picking back up in the fall!

Where: Enter at Union Lutheran's Penn Street Entrance (24 S. Penn St.)
Time: 12-5:30 p.m.
When: On the York city School District's early dismissal Wednesdays.

Afterschool @ Union  is time that your child or youth spends in a safe space where they will learn life skills, spend quality time with their peers and build lasting friendships.

This program is available for students in grades 3-6 Wednesdays, 12:00pm -5:30pm. Registration and attendance for the full 5.5 hour session is encouraged. The program will be held at Union Lutheran Church, 24 South Penn Street, York, PA 17401. Students will enter and exit here and parent pick up is also at this entrance.

Students will be greeted by the Program Coordinator, Eric Oliver and/or verified volunteers with all their required background clearances. Students will be provided a meal and refreshments and a take home bag.

Afterschool @ Union is important because it:
• Supports working parents and caregivers.
• Benefits a child’s academic, social, and personal development.
• Helps children stay safe and avoid high-risk behaviors.

School work can be done while attending. Assistance and tutoring will be available. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in different weekly 60-minute activities during the “Hour of Power”, including:
• Creative and Performing Arts
• Health and Nutrition
• Life Skills
• Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)
